Integrated Incidents

Integrated incidents are records supplied through the organisation's fire-management integration. See Integrated Incidents and Incidents for the data model and API use.

Colour

Integrated incidents use the same fire colours as clusters.

  • Draw a polygon with the fire-cluster red #FF0000 outline, white #FFFFFF casing, and no fill.
  • Use scale 1.4 for an integrated-incident point.

Time series

The visible time window determines which integrated incidents are shown.

Legend and labels

Icons identify the incident classification and association state.

  • Draw an unassociated point with the linked variant of its classification icon.
  • Draw an incident that is associated with a cluster with the link-circle icon.

Zoom behaviour

Below zoom 10, replace a polygon with its centroid marker. At zoom 10 and above, show the incident geometry.

Interaction behaviour

Selection identifies the incident or opens its associated cluster.

  • Use a 3 px cyan #04CECF outline with no fill for a selected polygon.
  • Use cyan #04CECF instead of the normal colour for a selected point.
  • When an incident is associated with a cluster, selection opens the cluster.
  • Selecting a centroid below zoom 10 centres the map and moves to zoom 10.
  • Selecting a polygon does not change the zoom.

Metadata

The following metadata is useful for users when viewing integrated incidents. See Supported data fields for the corresponding API fields.

  • Name — the incident's display name, used to identify it.
  • Start and end times — the recorded incident period, used to understand when it was active.
  • Location — the incident's geographic position, used to place it on the map.
  • Detection mode — how the incident was detected, used to understand its origin.
  • External identifier — the reference from the source system, used to match records between systems.
  • Type and cause — the incident category and recorded cause, used to understand what happened.
  • Status — the current incident state, used to understand whether it is active.
  • Source — the system or organisation that supplied the incident, used to identify provenance.
  • Ingestion and last-updated times — when WFS received and last updated the record, used to assess data currency.
